Life of Sorts

The worldly life,
So full of strife,
Will I ever win?

The worldly life,
So full of strife,
Where do I begin?

The worldly life,
Cuts like a knife,
Bruised and battered sore;

The worldly life,
Cuts like a knife,
Stripped to my very core.

The worldly life,
So full of strife,
Has me ever depressed;

The worldly life,
So full of strife,
Every moment I am stressed.

The worldly life,
Cuts like a knife,
Severs joy from my soul;

The worldly life,
Cuts like a knife,
I feel no longer whole.

The worldly life,
So full of strife,
My life filled with pollution;

The worldly life,
So full of strife,
I'm in need of a solution.

Jesus' life,
Cuts like a knife,
Into the hearts of every man;

Jesus' life,
Cuts like a knife,
Altering death's dark plan.

Jesus' life,
So full of strife,
Bore the weight of sin;

Jesus' life,
So full of strife,
Gives me hope again.

Jesus' life,
Cuts like a knife,
Died to bring a plan;

Jesus' life,
Cuts like a knife,
Redeems the fall of man.
